Priceless...

Cost of Bitty Baby doll: $50
Hailey putting the baby "night-night" for the first time: Priceless!

Yesterday I was working downstairs in our playroom/office/guest bedroom (talk about a multi-purpose room...phew! P.S. I know I still owe a post dedicated to pics of this room) and Hailey was playing with her Bitty Baby doll on the floor.

Many of you who know Hailey well know that she loves this damn doll to bits! My sister Lori got it as a present for Hailey for her Christening over a year ago and she plays with it every day! The photo off to the left is Hailey and her baby (age 4 months).

Anywho. Back to the story. Hailey was playing with her baby when all of a sudden she came up to me talking in her cutest baby voice. It went kind of like this:

Hailey: Nigh-nigh (translation: night-night)

Me: What's the matter sweetie? Are you sleepy? Do you want to go night-night? (Keep in mind it was only 9am).

Hailey: (silence...stares at me blankly)

Then she looked over at her baby lying on the floor and walked over by her and again said "nigh-nigh". To my surprise the baby was lying on the floor on her back with her little crochet hat covering her face! Hailey had laid her down to sleep! My heart melted...I'm such a sap!

Fall is Fabulous

Fall has to be my favorite season. Yes, I love the warm weather of spring and summer. But, there's something refreshing about turning off the air conditioning and opening the windows, wearing sweaters instead of tank tops and leaving humidity behind.

I especially look forward to our trip to Kuiper's Pumpkin Farm each year. It's been a tradition to go for my nephew Tommy's birthday every year for the last 5 or so years. And now that I have a child of my own to enjoy the farm, it's even more fun! We went last week Sunday when RJ's mom was in town for the weekend.
Last year RJ held Hailey up in front of the "How Tall This Fall" sign. We told ourselves this was going to be our fall tradition. So we did the same this year. Look how big she's gotten!
Other fall traditions include carving a pumkin (how original, right!?), which we did yesterday. Actually we carved one and used gourds and mini-pumpkins to make a silly face on another. Note the blonde wig, which is a leftover from a previous Halloween costume of mine. Don't ask.
