Hello friends. The first anniversary of my 29th birthday is creeping up on me. Yes, that's right...I'm turning 30 soon.
To be exact, it's T minus 8 days 'till I turn 30. Wow....the big THREE-OH. I know some of you older and wiser folks will say that is young. I guess it's all relative.
What is so strange for me about leaving my twenties is I still feel young. And I'm not sure why. I've accomplished everything I thought I would by the this time in my life. I'm married, I have a child, I earned by Bachelor's Degree (better late than never, right?) and I own a home.
All things considered I am okay with saying adios to my twenties. Anyway, it's not like I have a choice, right?

This is true, you don't have a choice . . lol You're awesome for accomplishing so much in your twenties, that is definately to be commended!!!
The 30's are awesome, Jen, I can't put my finger on exactly why, maybe it's just a little older, a little wiser, you know yourself better, or something like that...enjoy the last week of your twenties but very warm welcome to the 30's!!!
Here is what I have been thinking alot about lately (being 35!) and have decided. We are the same person inside an aging body. I remember my grandma in her 70's saying she still felt like a girl lost in an old ladies body.... we know more, and have seen more, but, we are still us... age does not define us and I think THAT is what you learn in your 30's....
Lovely blog - made my way here through about 5 other blogs, glad I did...
I've truly enjoyed my 30s so far. I suppose since I had a 'quarter-life' crisis when I turned 25, I may have avoided any drama about turning 30, though.
I've found I care less what other people think and am understanding my own motivations and emotions more now than ever. It's been great so far.
